We need talented software engineers to help us overcome the formidable technical challenges in this space and provide a powerful and delightful experience to develop, deploy, manage and use apps.

- Actively mentor other engineers within the team.

How You’ll Grow
- Own functionality across the full stack: backend services, front-end UIs, middleware, and front-end runtime libraries.
- Coordinate efforts within the team and across teams to improve the experience for developers and their customers.
- Implement new functionality while maintaining high quality and product velocity through incremental refactoring of existing code and rigorous unit tests.
- Hone your craft together with other engineers through design whiteboard sessions and constructive code review.
Things You’ll Do
- Build and deliver scalable, fast, robust, and simple web-based solutions that solve complex business and developer needs.
- Take perspectives of internal and external customers to identify needs and deliver on commitments.
- Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive maximum performance.
- Work closely with other specialists, tech-ops, and product managers, incorporating their feedback into your work.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years' experience building web infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Confident with standard software engineering methodologies (e.g. unit testing, code review) and tooling (e.g. source control, CI/CD).
- Able to judiciously deploy design patterns to simplify technical solutions to complex business problems.
- Effective and persuasive communication, driving consensus among engineers.
What You Should Know About This Team
We build and maintain the App Framework: a collection of scalable backend services, a shared standard library and dev tooling that enables third-party developers to build and deliver custom applications on top of the Qualtrics XM platform. Developers are our customer base, and we use our own experience and perspective as developers to ensure that building on the XM Platform follows best industry practices and is friendly and ergonomic, from local prototyping to debugging in production.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. For part-time or intern positions, this pay range is for base pay per hour. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
