Your RoleWe are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to work on our products for the Competitive business unit. The Competitive business unit covers all products for our high school, club, and small college teams. Examples of projects include creating tools to help athletes get recruited, giving teams the video they need, when they need it by leveraging our global library of sports video, and building the future of Hudl’s team communication tools.

Must-Haves- Exposure to mature, full-stack web application code.You have 2+ years of experience building across many levels of a web application, from client-side code down to the database.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset. You know building excellent software is a team effort and you’re willing to collaborate with others to get to the best outcome—whether that means providing input in technical discussions, pitching in when a teammate needs a hand, or providing quality feedback in code review.
- Experience independently navigating uncertainty. You’re used to working with many possible implementation options and know how to identify the one that pragmatically balances quality, consistency and delivering immediate customer value.
- Curiosity. You’ve picked up new technologies and domains on the job and know what form of learning helps you most. The idea of working across myriad layers of the stack and multiple products energizes you.
- Professional background in C#, React, MongoDB and/or AWS. Adjacent languages, frameworks and services used at scale are relevant experiences, but a direct background in our core technologies is a plus.
- Video processing and storage experience. You’ve used tools like ffmpeg, or video livestreaming protocols like HLS, RTMP, SRT, or similar.
- Mobile development know-how. Hudl is heavily invested in React Native to bring our fan experience to iOS, Android, and a variety of OTT (TV) platforms with a single codebase, so experience with React Native or mobile development (native iOS or Android) would be an asset in this role.
- Experience working with hybrid teams. Our engineering team is spread across the U.S. with a combination of people working in office and remotely. A background working with global teams isn’t a must but will help you adapt more quickly to Hudl’s culture.
