Software Engineer II, Inbound Order Management
This role will support our Inbound Order Management team, responsible for building out the technology that supports customer order management system.
This is a hybrid role that requires you to sit in office at our Boston headquarters.
What you’ll do:
- Be responsible for being hands-on in building web-based, event driven, cloud enabled applications that are reliable, scalable and easy to maintain
- Ensure the quality of engineering within your team
- Contribute to architectural and code review discussions that impact our engineering ecosystem
- Raise the bar of the teams you'll be working with
- Collaborate with leads and engineers across multiple teams to solve a wide variety of business and technical problems
- Ensure our systems are properly documented
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Wayfair engineering scene within Boston and beyond.
What you bring to the table:
- 3+ years of experience building web based Microservices, preferably with Python
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI/CD) practices and tools (Buildkite, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience architecting solutions to well defined problems, leveling distributed infrastructure (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aerospike
- Experience leveraging monitoring and logging technologies (e.g. DataDog, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, etc.)
- Great communication skills and the ability to support technical decision making with the team.
