We’re looking for an experienced mid-level Software Engineer (II) to join our team, someone that can understand complex systems, manage a workload independently, deliver high quality solutions and participate as part of a distributed team. You’ll join a first-in-class team of engineers, designers and product managers that quickly deliver highly scalable compelling features to Tripadvisor’s 450+ million monthly visitors using an array of cutting-edge technologies.  

What You'll Do:

• Build our front-ends in Typescript, React/Vue and GraphQL.
• Build our microservices in Java and some NodeJS.  
• CI/CD to proprietary and cloud data centres
• Operate, monitor and support our capabilities using Graffana, Prometheus
• Work alongside product managers, UX designers and content creators to optimize the customer experience
• Continuously improve via rigorous experimentation using our home-grown platform.

Skills & Experience:

•  3+ years’ experience in commercial software development with relevant experience in Typescript, React/Vue, GraphQL and Java.
• You have designed and coded complex user interfaces and microservice endpoints.
• You’ve been responsible for troubleshooting and triaging production issues.
• You look forward to showing new engineers the ropes, and helping them improve their craft via mentoring and careful code reviews.
