As a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Platform Catalog team, you'll play a role in shaping the future of technology at Wayfair. You'll build innovative tools and data sources that empower our technology teams to navigate our complex technology landscape, discover resources, and self-serve their needs. Your work will directly impact the productivity and effectiveness of our engineers, enabling them to focus on what they do best: building world-class products.
You'll collaborate with engineers across the company to design, develop, and deploy new features that seamlessly integrate with Wayfair's intricate technology ecosystem. Your contributions will help us streamline our development processes, enhance our operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organization. You'll have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that require creative problem-solving, technical expertise, and a passion for building scalable, reliable, and maintainable software.

What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, operate, and maintain cutting-edge solutions which allow for reuse and extensibility while still solving the primary problem at scale
- Build solutions for multiple services, work in the code, and understand at a detailed level how the software works
- Cultivate a deep understanding of how your systems impact Wayfair’s customers, field associates, and other systems
- Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence and strengthen the technical expertise of our engineering and product teams
- Partner with cross functional stakeholder teams to build complex system integrations and interactions.
We Are a Match Because You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent design and architectural skills with strong fundamentals in system design, data structures and algorithms (3+ years or equivalent track-record).
- Experience as a full stack, full lifecycle software engineer and deep understanding of a modern programming language (Preferably Python and TypeScript).
- Capability to collaborate with cross functional teams in a dynamic fast paced environment with an inclusive, adaptable and persuasive communication style.
- Result oriented mindset with the ability to quickly translate business requirements into working features.
- Proficient in effective troubleshooting and issue resolution techniques
- Preferably with experience with Cloud technology such as GCP
