About the role- Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and project managers to implement new features across Crunchyroll's Android, Android TV and Fire TV apps
- Coordinate with team manager on technical designs and technology decisions
- Coordinate with multiple teams and manage dependencies where applicable
- Ensure good code quality by doing rigorous code reviews and maintaining good code coverage on tests
- Work with team manager to develop a comprehensive testing pyramid
In the role of Software Engineer III, AndroidTV you will report to the Engineering Manager, AndroidTV.
About You- Passionate to develop complex, consumer-facing video streaming applications for Android mobile, Android TV, and Fire TV
- Knowledge of architectural design principles
- Stay current on techniques, tools, and ecosystem, especially as it relates to Android
- Minimum 3 years of development experience on Android with Java/Kotlin
- Experience building applications using Jetpack libraries
- Familiarity and working experience with Agile development methodologies
- Design major software components and provide technical leadership for developers
- Familiarity with common CI/CD practices and GIT workflows
- Commitment to producing quality code and documentation
The Android team builds and maintains our Crunchyroll apps for Android, Android TV, and Fire TV.
