About the job

This position is needed to reinvent how we operate at Twilio with intelligent, self-service solutions for Customer Support and Operations teams. As a Software Engineer, you will own and be responsible for the engineering architecture from design through delivery, across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).  You will establish and continuously improve the coding patterns and developer best practices, comment and approve code reviews, continuous integration and deployment pipelines, documentation and software release processes on the team. 

We are looking for a Software Engineer with expertise in fullstack Javascript software development, strong expertise in typed languages, solid computer science fundamentals, and a demonstrated track record of building elegant APIs and UI experiences at scale.  In this role, you will partner with our product, program, analytics and other engineering teams to build world-class experiences for our customers and support agents.

Our technical stack includes:  Javascript, ReactJS, NodeJS, TypeScript, AWS (Lambda, EC2, SQS, S3), Terraform, Redis, Docker, Linux, Kendra and MySQL.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, product and engineering teams to execute on our roadmap and deliver business value.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and review technical blueprints, and translate product requirements to software plans and deliverables
  • Continuously improve our best practices for how we operate.
  • Continuously adapt to the evolving JavaScript ecosystem to maximize engineering efficiency.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong computer science fundamentals and expertise with Javascript full-stack development.
  • 6+ years of experience in building Web applications, preferably using frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Experience creating unit tests.

Desired:

  • Experience with A/B testing or feature flag practices. 
  • Experience with DDD architecture or layered architecture projects. . 

Location 

This role will be remote, and based in Colombia.
