Our mission at Marketing Technology is to provide a state-of-the-art platform and measurement capabilities to enable marketing and product teams to engage with our customers effectively. Everyday millions of Airbnb customers are reached via our streamlined platform over comprehensive channels, such as Email, Push, SMS, and external Ads Platforms (e.g., Google, Facebook, etc). We deliver substantial business impact by enabling numerous stakeholders across the company, including Marketing (Brand and Performance), Guest/Host, Policy, and more. 

The Difference You Will Make:

As a Software Engineer in Marketing Technology, you will be responsible for enabling the stakeholders, implementing the solutions, and operating the platform with comprehensive testing and monitoring. More specifically, you will work with Performance Marketing to drive growth for Airbnb from Google Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Affiliates Marketing (Metasearch, Influencer), measure the performance for Brand Marketing on Facebook, provide analytic reports for Email performance, etc. This role is highly cross-functional. You will be able to act as a close partner to marketing, design, engineering, product management, data science, and policy, to make high impacts around the world. 

A Typical Day: 

• Develop custom solutions to integrate with external Ads Platforms (e.g., Google, Facebook, Trivago, ImpactRadius, etc) via API
• Design and implement privacy centric marketing event tracking solutions to support business operations
• Automate production pipelines and integrate with upstream/downstream data sources E2E
• Built backend services for various internal tools (e.g., Analytics Hub, Dimension Manager, Ads Connect, etc)

Your Expertise:

• BS degree in CS or other related fields
• 2+ years of industry experience in a fast paced tech environment
• Working experience in distributed systems (Java)
• Working experience in Big Data (Hive/Presto/Spark), Python, and SQL

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
