About the job

This position is needed to develop AI powered features on Twilio’s Voice and Communications Intelligence product as part of growing our investment in utilizing artificial intelligence to support communications. The role joins an established team of software and machine learning engineers based in the US, LATAM and EMEA building these features.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for our distributed systems and microservices, utilizing asynchronous communication patterns for optimal performance.
  • Take ownership of features and initiatives to ensure delivery and quality.
  • Build integrations with machine learning models and AIaaS solutions to create features to delight customers.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of highly scalable architectures, prioritizing reliability, performance, and future-proof growth.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and ensure timely response to production incidents and system outages. Collaborate in blameless postmortems for production incidents, focusing on root cause analysis, learning opportunities, and actionable improvement plans.

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience developing and deploying software, preferably as part of microservice architectures and distributed systems.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Java, Spring and other supporting technologies.
  • Expertise using cloud platforms like AWS, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience developing APIs and RESTful services.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired:

  • Experience building machine learning powered software and with MLOps
  • Experience developing enterprise software in Python
  • Knowledge of telecommunications
Location

This role will be remote from Spain.

Travel
