Your Role

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll:

  • Lead financial reporting. You’ll prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes, MD&A, and other disclosures. You'll help manage the reporting calendar, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise. You'll research and analyze complex accounting issues—e.g., revenue recognition, leases, and stock-based compensation—to provide technical guidance and develop and maintain our accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAP. You'll also provide accounting support for M&A activity.
  • Enhance processes and controls. You'll support our quarterly and annual audits and assist with internal controls (SOX) compliance. Additionally, you'll look for opportunities to drive efficiency and automation, contributing to process improvements in financial reporting and technical accounting.
  • Support strategic decision-making. You’ll prepare monthly interim financials, flux analysis, and create ad-hoc reports and analyses requested by management. You'll stay current on new accounting standards, proactively assessing their impact on the Company.

For this role, we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in either Omaha or Lincoln, NE. But with our flexible work policy, there aren't any current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.

  • Experience. You have four or more years of relevant accounting experience, including at least two years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or corporate financial reporting and/or technical accounting roles.
  • CPA Certification. You must have an active CPA certification.
  • Technical expertise. You have strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial disclosure requirements, with demonstrated ability to perform technical accounting research, write effective position papers, and communicate appropriate accounting treatment.
  • A problem-solver. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and can manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented. You have a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement in all aspects of your work.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Tech stack knowledge. Experience with excel and Workiva is a strong plus.
  • Controls experience. You have experience with internal controls (SOX) and audit support.
Our Role
  • Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
  • Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
  • Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
  • Cover your medical insurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you’ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
