We are hiring a Sr. Application Developer with a focus on supporting the company’s ERP, NetSuite. This role will be focused on developing customizations (Suitelets, Suitescript, Workflows, etc) within NetSuite in support of our critical business processes. These processes range from Procurement, Quote to Cash, Record to Report, E-Commerce, and other custom processes we run on NetSuite. Alongside a team of Engineers, you will be encouraged to grow functionality holistically across the application. Engineer's within the Finance Technology team, are in a unique position to collaborate with other platform and integration developers working with other “Best of Breed” applications, including the Elastic Stack.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Create, document, and manage customizations in an agile environment with standard change processes
- Solving business problems by gathering user requirements, designing solutions, developing customizations, testing processes, and final implementation.
- Collaborating with Elastic engineers and employees to build world-class business systems.
- Partner with business stakeholders to lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for deployments
- Advise the business on standard methodologies to better optimize our enterprise tools
- Partner with functional business owners to resolve systems-related issues
What You Bring Along:
- 3+ years of experience with NetSuite development tools (Suitescript, Suiteflow, Suiteflex, etc.).
- Experience with SuiteScript 2.0 and 2.1 as well as both RESTful and SOAP APIs
- Experience using NetSuite’s SDF tool as part of the development practice
- Have a knack for listening and interpreting user requirements and then turning them into technical realities.
- Experience in integrating NetSuite with third-party applications and external systems
- Analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
- Experience with Agile development practices and a sprint delivery model
- Fundamental understanding of using modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
- Understanding of industry-standard finance processes spanning across the whole Finance organization
- Experience with RevPro, Concur, Avalara, Stripe, and Mulesoft preferred
- Understanding of systems analysis, including root cause analysis and other process modeling and systems design methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Able to think independently and consider cross-functional/downstream impacts
- High level of technical curiosity to learn and apply new technologies
- BS or BA preferred. NetSuite Certifications are all highly desirable
Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.
These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.
An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
