What you’ll do:

  • Craft social content and campaigns that grab your audience’s attention and hold it
  • Write snappy copy for Pinterest across audiences, from taglines to emails to display to social copy
  • Get familiar with what works in-product on Pinterest vs. out in the world. Write both.
  • Regularly work with our product partners on house ads and in-product copy that educates, entertains and engages Pinners
  • Partner with passionate designers, producers and marketers on full-scale campaigns that require writing across surfaces and audiences
  • Partner with our social team to understand what’s performing. Build your future copy from there. You care deeply about landing the human truth behind an idea.
  • Regularly work on major marketing events across audiences, from Coachella to Cannes
  • Present and weigh-in at workshops and team meetings. Debate the fate of words!

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of copywriting experience, especially scripts and social
  • Exceptional concepts in your book
  • Experience working across consumer audiences.
  • Detail-oriented writer who “aims for extraordinary” even in the first draft.
  • You already “get” the Pinterest voice and what makes us different. Empowered by our brand guidelines, you’ll be fluent in it within a few weeks. You have experience writing across different brand voices.
  • You obsess over analytics. You care about testing and you love learns.
  • You have a pulse on current culture and social media trends. Perhaps you have experience community managing for a major brand. Either way, you get a kick out of writing the most culturally relevant copy and can write timely social copy on a whim.
  • You're confident under pressure. Your work—and your words—will be literally put in front of hundreds of millions of people. You take that opportunity (and responsibility!) seriously.
