Sr. eLearning Developer and LMS Administrator

In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise and excitement for learning theory and design best practices to develop innovative solutions at scale to address critical skill and knowledge gaps in onboarding and everboarding. You’re confident in making recommendations, flexible to the ideas of others and comfortable executing with autonomy.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop comprehensive courses utilizing elearning authoring tools and applying adult learning theory to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Creatively approach the delivery of content to ensure high learner engagement via audio, video, simulations, games and interactive tools, including scripting and recording. 
  • Gain buy-in and identify needs by collaborating with product, technical, and CS key stakeholders to tailor training for multiple solutions, unique teams, and skill development.
  • Own and administer our internal LMS, including course management, reporting and analytics, feedback tracking and defining course material improvements.
  • Manage the lifecycle of elearning development projects, including SME coordination, modality selection, assessments and summarize progress and outcomes.
  • Take autonomous action on our growing team by helping define best techniques, providing supportive documentation, and implementing scalable processes. 
  • Proactively partner with other cross-functional teams to support Enablement initiatives requiring your expertise and critical problem solving skills. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, learning and development or related field
  • 8-10 years of learning design experience and instructional design methodology for the development of professional eLearning or Computer-based Training
  • Preferred experience in a SaaS and/or Cyber Security environment and/or customer service or technical support role 
  • Advanced design skills in course authoring tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, Dominknow and/or other video and voice editing software
  • Strong understanding of how to utilize graphics, audio, video, quizzes and gaming assets to produce effective, aesthetic, and engaging training
  • Strong experience with established Learning Management Systems with knowledge of SCORM or xAPI packaging standards preferred
  • Highly adept at problem solving through ambiguity and shifting quickly to meet challenges head-on!

Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home. 

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $111,000 to $138,750.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
