We are the AI/BI team, a core part of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, dedicated to transforming data into applicable insights and thoughtful solutions. This team uses advanced technologies in artificial intelligence and business intelligence to analyze vast amounts of data, uncover trends, and provide predictive analytics to customers to lead strategic decision-making. By integrating AI algorithms with BI tools, the team develops unique products that allow customers to gain deep visibility into performance, enhance operational efficiency, and identify new growth opportunities in ways not possible before.
We're looking for a dedicated Engineering Manager to inspire creativity and create solutions in the area of AI/BI.
You will report directly to the Director of Engineering
The main responsibilities include:
- Lead a talented team of engineers building a full-stack product to facilitate natural language-based insight discovery for Databricks customers.
- Grow the team by hiring engineering talent.
- Build processes to implement product vision and strategy in a fast evolving area of AI/BI.
- Develop engineering leaders and support engineers in their career development.
- Help define the product and engineering roadmap for the team.
- Partner with other engineering (include AI experts) and product leaders on planning, prioritization and staffing.
What we look for:
- 3+ years experience working in a related system with an emphasis on Business Intelligence, AI and full-stack product development.
- Experience with business intelligence, semantic modeling, and AI.
- Can ensure the team builds high quality and reliable products.
- Experience promoting a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Comfort working cross functionality with product management and directly with customers; ability to understand product and customer personas.
- BS in Computer Science (Masters or higher).
Pay Range Transparency
Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
