As an Engineering Manager on the IAM team at Databricks, you will lead your team to build an available, scalable, and reliable identity system that is necessary to the business. You will be responsible for the delivery of products and features shipped by your team. You will work with engineers and customers to help ensure that we continue to build excellent products with new and improved features.
You will report directly to the Director of Engineering.
The main responsibilities include:
- The team is working on the identity lifecycle. They onboard new customers onto our platform, helping them to create/manage the lifecycle of users, groups and service principles. The team provides scalable and low latency APIs Databricks to query identity information.
- You will work with product partners and the customer to develop a product roadmap; work with the team on the technical design and implementation of the features. You will support customer issues and resolve tech debt.
What we look for:
- Minimum of 2 years of managing experience; experience scaling engineering departments from 5 to 30+ preferred
- Experience leading a team that builds product features that are used by enterprise customers
- Experience working on distributed software systems and building services on top of containers; prior knowledge on cloud identity is an advantage
- Experience hiring and developing talent, especially those in leadership roles
- Experience partnering with the Product team to develop team roadmap and improve customer experience
- Experience creating efficient processes that increase velocity and quality
- BS (Master's Degree or higher) in Computer Science or any related field
Pay Range Transparency
Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
