Databricks is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join the Sales Finance team within the FP&A organization. The Sales Finance team's primary goal is to help Databricks optimize for long-term growth through data-driven decision making and process improvement.

As an analytical finance professional, you will be a trusted advisor to Sales and Finance leadership, delivering insights and providing recommendations for both financial objectives and sales targets. Reporting to the Sr. Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in improving forecast reliability, enhancing reporting and dashboard capabilities, and building scalable processes that support the company’s rapid growth.

The impact you will have:

  • Support the annual planning process for the Sales organization, including quota targets, resource allocation, and expense budgets
  • Partner closely with Sales Operations and Recruiting to deliver insights and analytical support for Sales leaders
  • Own forecasts for both headcount and expenses, maintaining alignment with budgeted plans and identifying drivers of variances.
  • Oversee the monthly close process for contractor, software, and travel expenses, ensuring accurate accruals and timely reporting in partnership with the Accounting team
  • Develop and maintain robust models to forecast consumption for various business verticals, leveraging historical trends and pipeline data to improve forecast accuracy
  • Leverage data to identify leading indicators of revenue growth, focusing on customer segments and analyzing product adoption to uncover business opportunities
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline reporting and support hyper-growth at scale

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or a comparable quantitative field
  • 3+ years of FP&A, Strategic Finance, or related experience (e.g., Investment Banking, Public Accounting) with a focus on technology; familiarity with SaaS or consumption-based models is a plus
  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
  • Strong understanding of SQL and analytics tools to make data-driven insights
  • Expert in Excel and Google Sheets; comfortable managing large datasets and driver-based models
  • Experience with GAAP and non-GAAP financial metrics.
  • High competency with systems such as Anaplan, Netsuite, Salesforce, Coupa, and Workday

 

Pay Range Transparency

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 1 Pay Range$125,600—$175,775 USD
