Elastic is seeking an Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Manager to be the global leader for our email channel. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Innovation, you'll champion customer communication through email, integrating it into our overall brand and demand experience. You enjoy helping to write and review creative copy that highlights our solutions and connects with customers at every stage of their journey. You can analyze email campaign data to enhance engagement and retention, and you embrace new technology. You will partner with our enablement team, digital marketing, global campaigns, regional marketing, and product marketing to provide marketing guidance and strategic direction on how to best apply the email channel for go-to-marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Define, design, implement, and optimize the strategy for email programs and nurtures in alignment with campaign goals and the customer’s journey.
  • Develop email strategies based on email automation capabilities in alignment with omnichannel strategy (e.g., dynamic content-driven email campaigns) and partner with collaborators in building strong targeting and segmentation strategies.
  • Optimize email audience reach to drive outcomes and improve overall campaign performance.
  • Create engaging messaging and customize content specifically for the email channel.
  • Monitor email performance metrics and provide insights and improvement recommendations to boost email performance, and use research, insights, and A/B testing to continually optimize the email channel.
  • Promote standard processes for personalization and dynamic content usage.
  • Own and lead a global email calendar integrated with other marketing initiatives; recommend prioritization processes and enable governance rules.
  • Focus your strategy on audience benefits, optimizing campaigns using data, and managing communications based on email importance.
  • Work with technical partners in Web, Marketing Ops, and IT to establish technology requirements that support email and email nurture strategies that drive innovation, engagement, and improve overall experience.
  • Create and collaborate with the design team on effective email templates.
  • Set standards and monitor the email channel to ensure email content reflects Elastic’s brand and voice.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and leading practices in email marketing to drive innovation and team member collaboration and enablement.
  • Develop and implement email audience governance policies to ensure targeted, compliant, and secure email communications, including audience segmentation, data management, regulatory compliance, content quality, access control, monitoring, and training.
  • Establish program and communication templates to streamline email copy development.
What You Bring Along:
  • 5-7 years of digital marketing experience
  • 5+ years of Marketo experience; Marketo Certified Administrator certification preferred
  • A degree or equivalent experience in marketing, advertising or other related field preferred
  • An understanding of different marketing subject areas; i.e. paid media, SEO, CRO, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with project management expertise
  • Familiar with reporting on campaign metrics and can spot trends in the blink of an eye
  • Is flexible and adaptable to change
  • Have the ability to creatively resolve potential roadblocks
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in parallel and manage a wide array of customers, including senior leadership and balancing competing priorities in prioritization

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
