Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a critical driver in Lyft's decision-making process, deeply embedded within the business to ensure optimal financial outcomes. We are seeking a Sr. Manager to lead our Post Marketing Margin team. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to influence key business decisions and drive the financial strategy for our Rideshare business.

As a key leader responsible for Post Marketing Margin management within the Rideshare business, you will oversee financial planning and analysis activities, deliver critical business insights, and continuously strive to enhance operational efficiency. Our world-class finance team is known for its commitment to excellence, and we are looking for a team player with a strong service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with product and business leaders to understand the drivers behind revenue and gross margin changes, and provide strategic recommendations to support profitable growth.
  • Analyze current business performance and offer financial guidance that influences both short-term and long-term strategic decisions.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to advise on trade-offs between growth and profitability, ensuring ROI-driven accountability.
  • Establish strong relationships with business partners across the company, translating strategies and objectives into actionable financial outcomes.
  • Create and manage robust, scalable processes for forecasting and performance tracking, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Beyond budgeting and planning, act as a thought leader, partnering with stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies while supporting company growth.
  • Develop and present executive-level analytics and reports that offer clear insights into business growth, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and evaluating annual and quarterly plans, ensuring alignment between the product roadmap and financial objectives.
  • Continuously improve key financial metrics and analyses to meet the evolving needs of the business functions you support.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly analysis and reporting on financial performance, highlighting key issues, risks, and business drivers.
  • Oversee the Rideshare financial forecast in collaboration with internal FP&A teams, ensuring accuracy and developing executive reporting on both GAAP and Non-GAAP bases.
  • Contribute to quarterly earnings releases by providing insights into historical trends and future outlooks.
  • Manage and advise on special projects, including new product launches.
  • Manage a strong team of finance professionals and contribute to the growth and culture of this high-performing group.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in finance, preferably in a high-growth environment, and 4 years of managerial experience.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with tight timelines and shifting priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of breaking down complex issues into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in managing multiple stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across a diverse organization.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

The expected range of pay for this position in the San Francisco area is $164,000 - $205,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
