Schedule: Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm) 

About the Role

We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Packaging & Indirect) who will help us build out our Packaging supply chain, own our vendor relationships, and continuously improve our end-to-end sourcing process. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing, you will build and execute a roadmap to improve our cost structure, the quality of our products, the reliability of our supply chain, and product innovation process. As part of the Procurement team, you will play a key role in helping us deliver the best possible value to our customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop innovative new packaging solutions that create unique value for our customers and drive iterative improvements across our packaging 
  • Develop and execute a sourcing and supply chain strategy that optimizes process, reduces risk, and increases profitability 
  • Leverage large internal datasets and industry benchmarks (including market, supplier, and SKU analysis) to drive continuous improvement, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and identify/implement best practices
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement, both internally and externally with our vendors, through data-driven reporting, effective project management, use of retrospectives, and by identifying new capabilities and processes that drive efficiency and improve our cost structure
  • Lead packaging initiatives with an incredible cross functional team to solve interesting packaging problems and develop the new, next and never been done!
  • Develop and mentor a team of direct and indirect reports
  • Be the subject matter expert in all things related to packaging procurement
  • Other duties as assigned

At a minimum, you have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain or related discipline (CPM certification or MBA is a bonus!)
  • 8+ years of related work experience, with a management consulting, project management and/or strategic sourcing background
  • Strong knowledge and interest in strategic sourcing and continuous improvement processes
  • Experience managing and leading a team of direct and indirect reports
  • Quantitative and analytical experience (either through education or professional experience), including expertise with G-Suite, Excel, Tableau, and procurement systems
  • Outstanding and highly structured communication skills, with the ability to build and effectively communicate a strategic plan to stakeholders at all levels within an organization
  • A love for solving complex, ambiguous problems in a fast-paced environment with constant change and limited direction
