Reporting to the EMEA People Director, the Sr. People Partner will be a strategic partner, consultant, and advisor of people and talent programs within a diverse set of cross-functional leadership teams in Databricks central European footprint (France, Germany and Italy). You will guide activities which will include performance management, career development, leadership coaching, organizational design, employee relations, and compensation programs to support a growing and dynamic group of partners. Under the guidance, and in partnership, of the EMEA People Partner Director, you will also serve as an ambassador for Databricks company values and leadership principles whilst ensuring a global, diverse, and performance-based work environment. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to all local and regulatory employment considerations to help grow our regional footprint whilst creating a global employee experience.

The impact you will have:

  • Promote core people programs for assigned geographic territory (including performance management, career development, and culture survey action planning)
  • Provide change management, which may include learning programs and trainings, to improve organizational health and career development
  • Use data and insights to build and align talent strategy to achieve our commercial goals
  • Be a conduit between the business and our global People teams to promote strategic people priorities and ensure global programs and policies are developed to balance commercial goals, global employee experience and local relevancy
  • Provide Leadership consultation and coaching across assigned client teams/geographies
  • Partner with our global Employee Relations team to manage issues such as investigations, grievances and performance management cases
  • Where applicable, own partnership with relevant works councils and employee unions

What we look for:

  • Human Resources experience within the technology industry, with a focus on strategic partnership supporting senior leadership (# of years experience is not an explicit requirement and is only viewed as a guide to the expected depth of experience you may have. All levels of experience will be assessed equally)
  • In-depth knowledge of Human Resources practices and local employment requirements (France, Germany and Italy)
  • Demonstrated experience during a period of hyper-growth and dynamic scaling
  • Competency in simplifying and communicating complex ideas and programs
  • Use data to support and influence decisions
  • Identifying trends to produce action plans and develop creative solutions to challenging people problems
