A great platform needs an amazing developer experience. Our team’s mission is to deliver a best-in-class analytics experience for data scientists, data engineers, and SQL analysts. The Databricks Notebook and SQL editors are used by every customer of Databricks, and any feature you launch will have massive impact and reach. We’re looking for a strong Product Manager to lead the development and strategic direction for Databricks notebooks, the most used surface in Databricks. AI is changing how developers work with Databricks, and we’re looking for you to explore bold new ways for generative AI to enhance the developer experience of Databricks. The ideal candidate is someone with a background as a Data Scientist or developer tools who is comfortable writing Python; SQL is a nice-to-have. We have big ideas for how we combine AI + a world-class notebook experience and are looking for someone to help us build that future.

The impact you will have:

  • You will drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Databricks Notebooks. 
  • You will explore integrating notebooks with cutting-edge generative AI capabilities, such as automated code generation, natural language processing, and predictive analytics. 
  • You will act as the voice of the customer, integrating user feedback to build developer experience improvements to Databricks authoring surfaces.
  • You will grow end-user engagement with Databricks developer tools working closely with sales and customer success teams.  

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager working on platform products
  • Experience building developer-facing products (tools, frameworks, SDKs) with tens or hundreds of thousands of users
  • Experience programming in Python; SQL nice-to-have
  • Experience being a hands-on builder, must be comfortable using developer-facing products
  • Passion for designing products that simplify user experience of technically complex products.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 2 Pay Range$109,500—$194,000 USD
