What is the Role:

Our Global Mobility Specialist will provide support in the areas of global mobility including domestic and international transfers (short and long-term) for existing employees and new hires, permanent residence sponsorship process, international tax and relocations to ensure a seamless experience as employees move across global offices within Elastic.

What You Will Do:
  • Serve as primary contact on all aspects of the US and global immigration including work visas, registration and social security to ensure the company is compliant prior to the effective date of transfer
  • Serve as the liaison between local teams and internal colleagues to drive all immigration, tax and relocation business needs
  • Assist with developing, implementing , and maintaining mobility practices, policies and procedures that best suits our current program needs
  • Executes the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification process for all new hires through Workday and rehires which includes review of all I-9 forms and acceptable identification documents for accuracy and compliance within established time requirements
  • Manage the vendor relationship with outside immigration and tax vendors and other relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of immigration-related information, including visa types, expiration dates, and employee status through Workdays
  • Recommend alternatives to business leaders for employees whose visa applications are not approved and/or renewals and extensions are approaching maximum duration
  • Track and review vendor invoices related to global immigration and tax activities to document cost allocations and develop timely payments processes
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned
What You Bring:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
    • 5 or more years of previous experience as an HR Professional in a fast paced, growing company is preferred
    • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to apply resolutions
    • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
    • Working knowledge of Workday preferred
    • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills, with ability to work cross-collaboratively across multiple internal and external teams
    • Strong project management, organizational, time management skills
    • Experience with developing policy, training, and communications
    • Able to work independently with little or no supervision

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
