We’re looking for an experienced Sr. Staff Content Designer to work alongside a stellar team of fellow design thinkers. You'll partner with designers, researchers, marketers, and product managers to define and create a top-notch experience for users.

As a member of the Content Design team, you'll participate in workshops to help elevate your peers' solutions, help define best practices and systems to scale our team, and advocate for the discipline across Lyft (and beyond!). 

About the role:

As a Sr. Staff Content Designer at Lyft, you'll focus on our Rider experience where definition will be your calling card. You’ll create clarity for yourself and your teammates through all types of ambiguity. An experienced leader, you’ll eagerly hop in to shape large initiatives across the company. On the Rider team, you’ll be thinking a lot about ordering a ride, waiting for a ride, the in-car experience, and everything in between. 

Let’s get specific, here’s what you’ll do:

  • Set the standard for creating experiences that deliver tangible, measurable outcomes for Riders and for Lyft
  • Drive the development of systems level solutions that support the business and our customers alike
  • Model how to uphold and push the quality bar, coaching others across disciplines to rise to this level
  • Drive collaboration and consensus across multiple teams and functions 
  • Evolve the Content Design discipline within Lyft 
  • Contribute to and shape Rider product strategy and vision
Your skills may include:
  • 15+ years of content design related experience, and exceptional writing abilities 
  • Best-in-class understanding of UX principles, microcopy, and content design principles
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills; equally comfortable sharing your perspective in a cross-functional stand-up as a boardroom 
  • Comfort in applying accessibility and ESL best practices 
  • Strong ability to approach work with curiosity, humor, and humility

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $188,000 - $235,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
