We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. UX Designer to join our team of Puritans in the Digital Demand Center (DDC) in Pure Storage’s Marketing Organization. As the Sr. UX Designer, you will work closely with Pure’s UX and Web Marketing professionals and will play a crucial role in maintaining and evolving our design system, and continuously improving the efficiency and quality of the user experience across our digital and web products. Your expertise in Figma, component design, high-quality production, and UX optimization will be pivotal in shaping the way we approach design, development and production now and in the future. You love this stuff, you have no/low ego, and an uncanny ability to solve problems and be a connector for our people and create work we can all be proud of and stand behind… a high Pureformer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, deliver and manage dynamic components within Figma that adhere to our digital design system goals.
- Work collaboratively with Web Producers to build an ever evolving strategy for our digital and web products, and support a high-volume of production and publishing requests.
- Write detailed hand-off specifications for the development team, including assets, interactions, and animations.
- Maintain and update Pure’s digital design system, ensuring that all components are up to date, versioned, and optimized for maximum efficiency.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure that design system components align with overall design principles and user-centered design practices.
- Illustrate design ideas by producing high-quality solutions including customer journey maps, flow diagrams, storyboards, wireframes, site maps
- Conduct regular audits of the design system and leverage UX research insights to identify areas for improvement, updates, and refinements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback, answer questions, and provide necessary support for the development of design system components, and assets for web publishing.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continually enhance our digital and web products.
- Create, distribute and maintain page and pattern templates, as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
Additional Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in UX Web Design and Research.
- Experience design and documentation for components on Adobe Experience Manager Platform.
- Proficiency in Figma, including advanced skills in creating and managing components, libraries, and design systems.
- Strong understanding of UX principles and user-centered design practices.
- Ability to understand business objectives and translate company goals into digital experiences
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clear and detailed hand-off specifications and documentation.
- Experience working with development teams and a deep understanding of the development process.
- Solid knowledge and working experience of front-end technologies, HTML, JS, CSS, and the capabilities and limitations of web technologies.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and maintaining design systems.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, managing your time and tasks independently as well as collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience building Figma widgets/plugins and/or motion graphic animation is a strong plus.
- A portfolio demonstrating your expertise in design system management, Figma component design, and web or application design and processes.

You will be based in Santa Clara, CA. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
The annual base salary range is: $158,000 – $238,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
