SRE Engineer

GuangZhou, China

We’re looking for a passionate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our infrastructure team. You must be a systems thinker, problem-solver, and automation advocate with a proven track record of building resilient, scalable systems. If you thrive in bridging development and operations, obsess over monitoring/metrics, and geek out on turning manual processes into self-healing systems – we want you.

What you’ll be spending your time on:

• Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable distributed systems. 
• Deploy, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes platforms. 
• Deploy and maintain distributed storage solutions such as GlusterFS and Ceph. 
• Manage Jenkins CI/CD pipelines (deployment, maintenance, and usage). 
• Execute daily system deployment and production releases. 
• Maintain hardware servers and related infrastructure. 
• Monitor system health in real-time using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc., and implement alerting mechanisms. 
• Develop automation tools and scripts (Python/Go/Shell) to reduce manual operations and improve efficiency. 
• Analyze capacity requirements and develop scaling strategies to balance cost and performance. 
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize service response times, throughput, and resource utilization. 
• Perform regular data center and system inspections. 
• Create and maintain technical and operational documentation. 
• Research and integrate new tools and technologies. 
• Complete other tasks assigned by leadership.

For this role, you have:

• 3+ years of experience in operations/SRE/DevOps, with hands-on experience in large-scale distributed systems preferred.
• Familiarity with SRE methodologies (e.g., SLI/SLO/Error Budget) and strong troubleshooting/optimization skills.
• Proficient in container technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Expertise in Kubernetes, with full lifecycle experience (implementation, maintenance, optimization).
• Skilled in deploying and maintaining storage components like GlusterFS and Ceph.
• Experience with monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible, proactive, and committed to operational excellence.
• Self-motivated with strong self-learning, analytical, and execution skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English
