Lincoln International follows a hybrid work structure with an emphasis on in office collaboration.Our employees work in our offices Monday through Thursday each week, with the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays.

Duties & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Financial Reporting and Consolidation team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate consolidation of Lincoln’s global financial statements and the preparation of timely and compliant financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a desire to collaborate with US and international teams in a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Month-End Close Process
    • Assist in the coordination of the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely submission of financial statements by all entities.
    • Prepare adjusting journal entries for consolidation purposes.
    • Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Manage global lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842, utilizing LeaseQuery software
    • Review subsidiary trial balances to ensure completeness and accuracy for financial reporting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with international finance teams to ensure accurate financial statements and resolve issues accordingly
    • Collaborate with internal departments to improve accounting processes and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Consolidation & Reporting
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
    • Assist in the elimination of intercompany transactions and balances during the consolidation process.
    • Perform variance analysis, ensuring the accuracy of consolidated financial data.
    • Support the preparation of the global reporting package, including revenue, cash flow, budget-to-actual analysis, and other key metrics.
  • Compliance and Audits
    • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation to auditors.
    • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual external financial reporting and disclosures.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects
    • Participate in special projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and financial analysis initiatives.
    • Assist with the preparation of reporting for strategic initiatives or acquisitions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Accounting (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting, consolidation, or financial reporting; experience in multi-entity environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and financial consolidation software.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.

The salary range for this role is $70,000-$75,000 on an annual basis. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Chicago. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.  

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
