The impact you will have:

As a Staff Business Systems Analyst, you will work with other Systems Analysts under the direction of the People Systems group to accomplish Databricks vision of democratizing data by building a world class People technology platform that allows employees to make an impact. You will uncover and establish business needs, translate them into technical requirements and develop new solutions to increase adoption of People technology platforms. You will build deep partnerships with cross functional partners, advocate for new ways technology can improve our recruitment process and be empowered to innovate the future of our People Technology strategy. You will report to the Sr. Manager, People Systems as part of the CIO's org.

  • Provide architectural consultation across all Workday modules and integrated solutions, including Workday HCM Core, Compensation, US Payroll, Absence, Benefits, Talent and Performance, Reporting, Security, and integrations.
  • Define internal best practices for system architecture, design, and build across the "Employee Lifecycle" ecosystem and integrated enterprise business systems
  • Support the PM in defining and implementing a multi-quarter technology roadmap, including processes and procedures in collaboration with business stakeholders and our IT engineering, data, and security teams.
  • Support all stages of the software development life cycle including but not limited to; system integration, configuration, data conversion, functional specifications, program, and system quality testing, go-live and post go-live implementation support
  • Create and maintain documentation of business process, integration, and related data architecture to identify areas of friction, waste, and opportunities for improvement
  • Support development of multi-year HR technology roadmap in collaboration with business stakeholders and our IT engineering, data, and security teams
  • Ensure that the system meets the defined expectations of the business.
  • Drive Workday, and other compensation technology such as Pave, best practices, with methods and tools, to maximize the value of the platform(s).
  • Drive consensus with business and technical teams to determine the best solution to business problems, output needs and the delivery of new technology solutions and enhancements.

What we look for:

  • 8+ years total experience with 5+ years of progressive experience in solution evaluation, design, configuration implementation, integration, and administration of Compensation tooling
  • 5+ years of experience designing, configuring, and implementing multiple modules within Workday cloud enterprise applications, and Workday reporting. Specifically we are looking for advanced compensation configuration experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 1 Pay Range$135,200—$239,200 USD
