Staff Compensation Program Manager (L6) (Req ​​GAQ225R94)

Mission:

As a compensation program manager, you will deliver two focal compensation programs each year to our workforce of thousands so that we invest compensation increases and equity awards effectively as we scale the company and empower our employees. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Compensation Programs and Operations,  you will lead program management, testing, and implementation of our global comp programs. Outcomes:

  • Provide strategic insights and deliver two focal compensation programs each year to help Databricks invest in its thousands of employees globally
  • Lead designing and testing of our compensation planning tools: Pave and Workday
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and drive improvements and rollout of our global compensation programs 
  • Manage and analyze complex datasets to distill data-driven compensation insights and convey findings
  • Model compensation scenarios and build tools to improve efficiency
  • Lead technology reviews for the compensation team to ensure our systems and processes are built to scale 
  • Partner with our key stakeholders such as People Partners, People Ops, IT, Talent Management and our compensation team to ensure that they are aligned on our initiatives and timelines

Will have:

  • Strong compensation and/or analytical background that shows proven success as a thoughtful partner with attention to detail
  • Experience managing large, cross-functional projects and proficient in project management methodologies and techniques 
  • Problem solving skills with a proficiency in data analysis tools (i.e. spreadsheets, databases) and an ability to use data to support informed decision-making
  • Ability to drive change across all levels of the organization and develop communication plans for large-scale projects
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others on the team
  • Tenacity to learn new things and think outside of the box 
  • Ability to deal with quick change and to navigate ambiguity
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 1 Pay Range$130,000—$230,000 USD
