Pinterest is looking for a Staff Content Designer with a passion and deep subject matter expertise in crafting accessible experiences. In this horizontal role you’ll partner across Design and with our Design Systems team and XFN partners to create and execute a vision for accessibility at Pinterest. As a Content Designer, you’re an advocate for the Pinterest user experience, working to help users complete the task at hand through clear, concise, and human language and information architecture. You help set the vision for content and drive product narratives across Pinterest’s features, and develop content processes and systems that drive quality and consistency within and between features.

What you’ll do:

  • Craft, write, edit, test and improve the content that makes our product easier to use. This includes product flows, UI language, in-product education, product naming and terminology.
  • Use empathy, logic and data to inform design choices. Conduct audits, identify patterns, and lead brainstorming sessions to design the best content experiences.
  • Collaborate with researchers, product managers, engineers, marketing, and business stakeholders to establish conversational, cohesive experiences with a unified voice.
  • Become an expert in your product and user group. Tune in to research to learn about what your audience truly needs. Bring human voices into problem statements and product UI.

What we’re looking for

  • 6+ years of experience in user-focused content design, with expertise in Accessibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human centered design, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating breadth, creativity and proven experience in content design, design thinking and product strategy.
  • Experience leading multiple complex workstreams.
  • Product and design strategic thinking.
  • Ability to mentor and help lead content design craft and skills.
  • Passion for building accessible, inclusive, quality products.

  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6 months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
