Staff Engineering Operations Analyst

Staff Analyst will oversee and implement initiatives to ensure strong operational execution within the Workforce Identity Cloud organization. This role must collaborate both within the Engineering, Finance, Recruiting teams and across the organization in order to successfully build programs that drive cost and engineering efficiencies.  Responsibilities will include proactively identifying areas for improvement, building new initiatives, managing and refining existing initiatives, and gathering feedback to aid in these endeavors. The successful candidate has a passion for driving continuous advancement, possesses strong business acumen, excels by using a strategic approach, and thrives in a fast paced, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with Eng and Technology business leaders and managers in driving headcount allocation and management, including sourcing position details for new roles, managing organizational changes and tracking internal transfers
  • Collaborates with FP&A and Workforce Planning & Recruiting Operations on full cycle headcount and position tracking, including facilitating changes to headcount targets 
  • Communicates with managers and downstream teams around changes to headcount targets and how they impact their work
  • Owns the development and execution of ongoing change management and communications relating to headcount planning, resource allocation and management
  • Collaborates with HR partners to manage organizational changes and sensitive transactions and ensure data is accurately reflected across systems 
  • Works closely with People Analytics team to analyze headcount trends to formulate a point of view on headcount planning and allocation
  • Works closely with Workforce Planning, Finance, and operations functions to ensure headcount and position data is reflected accurately in Workday
  • Track WIC Leadership KPI on a monthly/quarterly basis and follow-up on action items
  • Drive Special projects within WIC Operations function; may include cost model, capacity planning and forecasting analyses.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree is a plus
  • 4 years of relevant experience in Program/Project management, Finance, Operations, Workplace Management/HR, and Budget management
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS), and HR management systems
  • Strong project or program management 
  • Operates with discretion and maintains confidentiality
  • Operates with a high degree of influence, accountability
  • Ability to be innovative, creative and open minded
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, including comfort with communication with senior executives
  • Expertise with collaboration tools (Microsoft Outlook, Zoom, Slack, G-Suite, Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience working in SaaS or Cloud industry is a plus

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$142,000—$212,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $158,000—$238,000 USD
