About this team and role:

In this role you’ll be a core team member working to improve and develop the messaging system and experimentation capabilities You’ll be responsible for writing code, tests, specifications, building prototypes, solving problems, and analyzing data. In addition to this, you will lead and mentor a squad of 2-3 engineers.

What you’ll do: 

• Provide technical leadership for a team of world class engineers building new Firefox features
• Work closely with Firefox Product, QA and UX teams to scope out product requirements and create implementation plans
• Write code and tests, build prototypes, tackle problems with no clear solution, collaborate with other designers and engineers to make the web a better place.
• Learn about a wide variety of problems and solutions across a large, mature codebase.
• Help educate engineers on other teams through code reviews, giving talks, and/or writing documentation.
• Work with driven, committed team members to bring the open web to people around the world.

What you’ll bring: 

• More than five years experience and proven technical leadership skills
• You are proficient in reading and writing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• You have the ability to easily switch contexts and work on several projects at the same time.
