As a Staff Network Engineer with 8-10 years of deep technical expertise, you'll spearhead the development, optimization, and maintenance of our expansive corporate network infrastructure. This role is integral to ensuring our global operations are seamless, secure, and scalable. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Information Security, to architect a robust network that supports Ripple’s innovative platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous refinement of Ripple's global network infrastructure, encompassing both on-premise and cloud solutions (AWS), VPN configurations, and network virtualization.
  • Act as Ripple’s network infrastructure guru, offering technical leadership and innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Engineer and refine network monitoring and alerting systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability across all network operations.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Information Security team to fortify the network against threats, ensuring compliance with the latest security protocols and rapid deployment of necessary updates.
  • Spearhead initiatives to enhance network efficiency, reduce downtime, and support the scalability of our operations.
  • Provide advanced training and mentorship to network and IT support teams, elevating the internal expertise on network troubleshooting and best practices.
  • Participate in a comprehensive on-call rotation schedule to maintain the integrity and reliability of Ripple's network services around the clock.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 8-10 years of experience in network engineering, with a proven track record of managing sophisticated network infrastructures in a dynamic corporate environment.
  • Mastery of network fundamentals and technologies, including extensive experience with Palo Alto Networks (PAN) routers and firewalls, PAN GlobalProtect VPN, and Prisma.
  • Demonstrated experience in network virtualization, cloud networking (AWS), and the deployment and management of corporate Wi-Fi networks.
  • A strong background in network security practices, LDAP, and the management of security certificates and authentication systems.
  • Expertise in network performance monitoring tools like SumoLogic, and proficiency in scripting with Perl, Ruby, Python, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with networking tools and solutions such as Mist, Meraki, Juniper switches, Jira, Confluence, VirtualBox, and Netbox is advantageous.

For positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions. CA Annual Base Salary Range$137,120—$171,400 USD
