About the role

Crunchyroll is growing and changing, presenting unique challenges and opportunities to support millions of anime fans around the world. The Partner Tools team provides seamless help to our partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring an exceptional experience for all Crunchyroll fans. As a result, Crunchyroll works closely with a variety of partners to integrate and launch Crunchyroll experiences on these smart devices, and ensure our subscribers have a great experience watching all the best anime. Imagine the complexity and cost of managing all the aspects of the relationship with these partners on both the business and technical side. 

All these devices (think Smart TVs, Set Top boxes, and even upcoming devices not yet in the market!) will be managed through our Partner Platform which is providing business critical services such as device management, integration tracking, workflow support and many others. Our users are not only internal teams, but partners as well like Samsung, LG, Sony, and Amazon.

Reporting to the engineering director, you will define the architecture and stack for our partner integrations, ensuring scalable and efficient content delivery. As well prototype services as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the software industry
  • Define the technical vision and strategy for our partner integration ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Collaborate a team of technical experts in areas such as device integration, business workflows and device launches along with infield audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless content delivery to/from partners
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners to ensure successful integration and content delivery
  • Hands on prototype and proof of concepts with ability to lead and transition to larger teams 
  • Ensure scalability and efficiency of the partner integration ecosystem
Requirements:
  • We are looking for someone who is deeply technical and has an unwavering passion for building use-centered software products
  • The ideal candidate should be skilled in developing reusable components and features for browser-based apps and have an incredible attention to detail
  • Have a background in front-end and back-end problem solving and are comfortable working across the stack
  • Want to build a platform that solves interesting data problems across search, discovery, access, and attribution experiences
  • Are self-led but highly aligned with your teammates; we develop fast, and align daily
  • Exhibit exceptional communication & presentation skills
  • Multitask and independently manage your own priorities to work fast and deliver

We’re Looking For You To Have Experience With:

  • Modern JavaScript standards and web fundamentals
  • Building responsive, data-intensive, and interactive web applications leveraging HTML5 and CSS
  • Expertise developing reusable features using Web Components or JavaScript frameworks such as React
  • The intricacies of the DOM and have understanding of web platform APIs and their performance implications
  • Strong technical expertise in cloud computing (AWS)
  • Experience working on consumer and enterprise products over multiple release cycles
  • Experience working closely with product and design teams
  • Experience leading, facilitating, and synthesizing user research
  • Experience presenting products and features to audiences large and small
