At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.

We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead Rider Payments — a critical role owning how millions of riders pay and interact with Lyft. This isn’t just about supporting cards or wallets. It's about reimagining how people access transportation, making payments seamless, inclusive, and cost-efficient.

At Lyft, payments are at the heart of every ride. Whether it's cards, tapping mobile wallets, using Lyft Cash, or redeeming a gift card — every transaction flows through our Payments platform. We’re building intuitive, reliable, and inclusive payment products that power every Lyft experience — from rideshare to bikes and scooters across multiple geographies.

If you thrive on complex product challenges, love working across cross-functional teams, and care deeply about building for scale — this role is for you.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the product vision for how riders pay at Lyft — across multiple payment methods including emergent ones to improve rider bookings.
  • Unlock growth and efficiency: Lead and ship new payment features that drive bookings or reduce payment processing costs.
  • Improve the rider experience: Improve customer experience on existing payments methods at Lyft including cards, Paypal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Cash App and Google Pay.
  • Shape the future of Lyft Cash - make it the go-to store of value for riders — from budgeting to promotions to loyalty.
  • Drive execution: Define clear, actionable product requirements. Prioritize effectively, track progress, and deliver impact.
  • Collaborate deeply: Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Operations, and Finance to launch high-quality experiences.
  • Align the org: Communicate priorities and roadmaps across a wide set of stakeholders — from cross-functional teams to senior leaders.
  Experience:
  • 6+ years of product management experience, preferably in payments, fintech, or transactional consumer products.
  • Proven experience building and launching zero-to-one products — from identifying customer needs to driving go-to-market and scaling.
  • Technical fluency — you’re comfortable discussing APIs, data flows, and edge cases with engineers.
  • Experience shipping products used at scale — ideally in complex or regulated domains like payments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to bring people along and drive clarity.
Benefits:
  • Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolled
  • Mental health benefits
  • Family building benefits
  • Child care and pet benefits
  • 401(k) plan to help save for your future
  • In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
  • 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
  • Subsidized commuter benefits
  • Lyft Pink - Lyft team members get an exclusive opportunity to test new benefits of our Ridership Program
