What's the opportunity? 🤔Are you a dynamic and results-driven professional with a love of startups? Intercom is seeking a passionate Startups Associate to identify, cultivate, and nurture relationships with leading startups. As the Program Associate, you will play a pivotal role in driving Intercom's growth through fostering Intercom’s startup partners & customer base while enhancing our brand as the primary customer service solution. Intercom’s startup programs are a core engine of growth, attracting over 10,000 top global startup clients and 500+ Y Combinator companies over 7 years.
What will I be doing? 🚀Partnership Cultivation: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with startup partners [VC’s, Accelerators & tech alliances], collaborating to drive customer referrals and business growth.
Co-marketing Initiatives: Ideate, launch, and optimize engaging co-marketing campaigns, such as webinars, events, emails, and content sharing, to drive joint brand visibility in key communities.
Accelerating customer adoption: Identify and remove friction, run onboarding office hours and build scalable programs
Develop Intercom’s community of founders: Identify, engage, share best practices, uncover customer needs and trends, and provide best-in class training and education.
Lifecycle Management: Nurture startups through every stage, ensuring ongoing success and fostering a positive experience.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to amplify startup customers experience
Performance Tracking: Monitor performance of partnerships and customer cohorts, providing visibility into partnership outcomes.
Online Presence Amplification: Elevate Intercom's online presence and engage key communities
Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with Intercom's product offerings and cultivate a deep understanding of B2B SaaS audiences
What skills do I need? 📖- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building and nurturing relationships.
- Detail oriented—ability to sweat design details while also seeing the big picture
- Strong understanding of marketing and business development
- Self-starter with drive to succeed in a quickly changing business environment
- Outstanding cross-group collaboration, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative team player who can effectively engage cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Able to innovate in rapid cycles and test solutions to learn what works, then feed insights into a long-term foundation
- Authentic relationship building skills and extremely self-motivated and success-driven
Who you are:
- Passionate about startups and the venture ecosystem
- 2+ years of startups/marketing/growth/ partnerships experience
- Experience in a startup, investment firm or accelerator
- Familiarity with marketing/sales systems and partner management tools.
- Strong understanding of VC landscapes, with the ability to identify and seize partnership opportunities
- Have a strong network with the General Partner/Limited Partner/Founder community
