This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement and replenishment of stock within our production facility. As an Automation SME, you will lead and manage a team of Stock Movement Shift Managers,  Supervisors and Controllers while optimising automation processes. You will also collaborate with global teams to address and resolve automation issues, ensuring an uninterrupted supply chain and timely delivery of meal kits to our customers.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Lead and Develop high performing teams,  Foster a collaborative and positive culture across shifts by implementing development plans, providing regular feedback, and role-modelling HelloFresh values.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Leverage data-driven insights to identify and implement process improvements in automation and inventory management, ensuring efficient stock movement and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor and Anticipate Inventory Needs: Use automation tools to predict changes in demand, ensuring timely replenishment and avoiding inventory imbalances.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead initiatives that enhance stock movement efficiency, reduce waste, and improve accuracy, empowering team members to contribute ideas and solutions.
  • Manage Risk and Escalate Appropriately: Quickly identify potential risks within inventory and supply chain processes, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating issues as needed.
  • Track and Act on Performance Metrics: Use KPIs and data analytics to monitor team performance, identifying trends and taking corrective actions to meet or exceed targets.
  • Effectively coordinating the replenishment service and support functions so that operations run smoothly.

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience as an Automation SME, ideally with expertise in replenishment systems or similar automated processes.
  • Strong knowledge of automation tools, technologies, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Proven experience in replenishment planning, or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools, along with advanced Excel skills.
  • Understanding of supply chain principles, including demand forecasting, inventory control, and logistics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Location: 1 Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW

Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
