Position Description: 

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our fast-growing company as a Strategic Event Marketing Specialist. You will become an integral part of the team, supporting Okta’s customer portfolio events like Showcase, Okta Identity Tour, and Oktane.

We’re looking for someone who has proven ability to manage multiple projects at once, pays attention to detail (while also thinking creatively), and can help drive results with cross-functional team members.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and partner with multiple departments to align and ensure consistency in event strategy and goals
• Work with various work streams such as marketing operations, product marketing, regional marketing, enablement, and Okta communications teamHelp ensure we have consistency throughout our events with messaging and templates
• Manage and drive tight deadlines throughout marketing
• Communicate and work with vendors and agencies on event logistics
• Support audience acquisition (requesting email campaigns, web pages, dashboards, etc)
• Evaluate event success through event debrief decks and reports

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 2+ years of Marketing experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Event coordination and logistics experience
• Highly motivated, self-starter attitude
• Ability to collaborate with team members while identifying opportunities to contribute value individually
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time#LI-Remote 

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$75,000—$113,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $84,000—$126,000 USD
