Strategic Event Marketing Manager

Job Description

At Okta, our Strategic Event Marketing Team designs and executes best-in-class events and experiences that establish Okta as a trusted advisor to the world’s largest organizations. This person will have a vital role in our tier 1 global programs, which include Oktane and third party trade shows. 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing global programs end-to-end and feel comfortable presenting to senior leadership.  

We want a proven and experienced team player with big ideas, but we also need someone who likes to roll up the sleeves and dig in on any details necessary to ensure success. They must be flexible with change and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This is a highly visible role with exposure to leadership across the company and our event portfolio. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Be a core part of the planning and execution of our event portfolio.
  • Think strategically across multidisciplinary teams, establishing value-based relationships with our relevant project stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Provide support to event leads tailored to their specific programs, aligning with their respective goals.
  • Communicate upcoming programs and deliverables to business leaders and project stakeholders, gathering feedback for continual optimisation.
  • Manage program budgets and deliver post-event reports.

  • Experience in executing integrated, ROI-driven marketing and lead generation programs.
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational and time management abilities, keen attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
  • Passion for the role and the company's mission.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%  of the time.

Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual OTE range for this position for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$103,000—$155,000 USD The OTE range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:$115,000—$173,000 USD
