What's the opportunity? 🤔

We are seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to shape our long-term growth strategy.

Strategic Finance ensures that Intercom makes sound business decisions. In this role, you will lead cross-functional efforts to evaluate the financial impact of the company’s near- and long-term strategic initiatives, collaborating with the broader FP&A and operational teams to integrate insights into financial plans. Your modeling of financial scenarios and performance metrics will assist our leaders in ensuring delivery of sustainable high impactoutcomes. You will collaborate with business teams across the organization, such as Product, Engineering, Sales, Growth, and Marketing, on a variety of strategic projects.

What will I be doing? 🚀
  • You will own the development of financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning related to strategic initiatives, including new product development and launches, product pricing, partnerships, and other new revenue opportunities
  • As the end-to-end Finance project manager for all strategy-led projects, you will review project briefs, model research findings, and help form strategic recommendations
  • You will demonstrate strong executive presence and the ability to clearly communicate compelling insights and business outcomes to senior executives and finance business partners
  • You will independently lead modeling financial outcomes for 0->1 projects. In doing so, you are detail oriented but are able to think broadly and bring structure, creativity, and financial acumen to problem solving
  • You will assist in the preparation of materials for the board of directors and investor relations
What skills do I need? 📖
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science Engineering, or related field
  • 5-8 years of experience with increasing responsibility with ideally a mix of investment banking, private equity, management consulting and FP&A
  • Ability to comfortably handle ambiguity and make decisions
  • Effective problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment, strategic thinking
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to deliver findings of analysis and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Intermediate level of SQL expertise required to be self sufficient in extracting, analyzing, and reporting out on summarized data structures

*Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.

The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $156,788 - $182,213. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
