Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we have presence throughout South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. We're on a journey to becoming a global company that actively opposes racism and all forms of oppression and bias. At Twilio, we support diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business.

About the job

This position is needed to unlock exceptional growth for Twilio’s customers and business.

We are seeking a high-achieving individual to join Twilio’s Strategy & Operations team. In this high-visibility role, you will drive cross-functional programs that align with the CEO’s vision and accelerate business success. You will do this by defining complex problems and solving them through data analysis, storytelling, customer & internal interviews, cross-functional relationships, and strategic insights. You will be an owner of strategic projects with significant autonomy, and have a desire for continuous learning through mentoring.

If you have an extreme owner / founder mindset and a desire to solve big challenges, you’ll find yourself at home.  Previous individuals in the organization have delivered exceptional impact in self-service, product-led growth, international expansion, compliance, go-to-market strategy, and M&A integration to deliver impact.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Have a direct and measurable impact on Twilio’s performance and the customer experience. You will tackle strategic challenges and deliver actionable insights.
  • Perform hands-on data analysis and create models and visualizations that support decision-making. You will also tell compelling stories that influence both customer-focused and internal initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders across GTM, Product, Operations, Engineering, and Finance. You will ensure alignment on strategic objectives and key initiatives that benefit both the company and its customers.
  • Build executive communication materials that clearly convey program status, recommendations, and business impact.
  • Maintain an independent perspective and challenge the status quo. You will ensure that business goals are achieved effectively and efficiently, benefiting both customer and company outcomes.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert on key programs. You will know the success metrics, key players, and priorities, with a focus on delivering value for Twilio’s customers.
  • Experiment and iterate to achieve optimal outcomes. You will define success criteria and diligently track performance.
  • Foster cross-functional alignment and collaboration. You will ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard, positively impacting customer experience and company success.

Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • 2-4 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, product, or growth roles. You must have a proven track record of solving complex problems and delivering data-driven insights.

  • Ability to think critically and apply structured problem-solving techniques to unfamiliar challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills using data to influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail. Dive into the numbers to inform sound decision-making.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with the SaaS or technology sector, particularly in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with product-led growth and self-service experiences.
  • Experience working with senior leadership or executives. You should have experience presenting insights and recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.
