As the Strategy & Operations Senior Associate in Global Operations at SumUp, you’ll sit at the intersection of strategy and execution - turning high-level priorities into measurable, data-driven initiatives that improve how we serve millions of merchants globally. You’ll act as a connector across teams, aligning regional and global goals, managing cross-functional projects, and ensuring that business decisions are backed by solid data and clear business cases. This is a high-visibility role with exposure to senior stakeholders across Operations, Product, Support, and Strategy, giving you the opportunity to directly influence SumUp’s global operating model and customer experience.
What you’ll do- Support leadership in translating the Global Operations strategy into actionable roadmaps, clear objectives, and measurable outcomes that improve efficiency, scalability, and merchant experience.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of global initiatives — from scoping and planning to execution, tracking, and measurement — ensuring alignment across Product, Support, and Regional Operations teams.
- Build and present robust business cases and financial models to evaluate new initiatives, balancing merchant impact, feasibility, and ROI.
- Analyse operational data to track impact, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership through structured reporting and executive-ready presentations.
- Ensure global priorities are consistently and effectively implemented across regions, acting as a strategic connector between HQ and local markets.
- Partner with diverse stakeholders—including Product, CSM, Support, and Regional Ops—to strengthen strategic alignment and accelerate impact.
- Contribute to capacity planning and process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
- You have 2–4 years of experience in strategy, consulting, operations, financial planning, or program management, ideally in a high-growth tech, fintech, or startup environment.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
- You’re comfortable driving cross-functional initiatives without direct authority, influencing stakeholders, and aligning diverse teams around shared objectives.
- You can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, thriving in fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
- You’re skilled in building business cases, performing ROI analyses, and managing complex projects end-to-end.
- You’re a clear communicator capable of crafting concise narratives, reports, and presentations that influence senior stakeholders.
- You bring a structured, detail-oriented approach and are motivated by impact, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
