Get to know our team:

We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join Agoda’s in-house commercial legal team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate and commercial law within the travel and technology industry. You will work closely with Agoda’s legal professionals and cross-functional teams to support the company’s legal and business objectives.

The opportunity:

  • Contract Review and Drafting:
    • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising commercial agreements, including supplier agreements, SaaS agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents.
    • Ensure contracts align with Agoda’s policies, business objectives, and applicable laws.
  • Legal Research:
    • Research legal topics relevant to Agoda’s operations, such as e-commerce regulations, travel industry licenses, intellectual property, and consumer protection laws.
    • Summarize findings and provide actionable insights to the legal team.
  • Compliance Support:
    • Assist in monitoring Agoda’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Support the preparation of compliance documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential legal risks in Agoda’s business operations and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
    • Support the team in managing disputes, claims, and regulatory inquiries, including liaising with external counsel when necessary.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Organize and maintain legal files, databases, and contract management systems.
    • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and training materials for Agoda’s internal teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Agoda’s business teams, including product, marketing, finance, and operations to provide legal support and guidance.
    • Participate in meetings to understand business needs and provide legal input.

Requirements:

  • Currently a 3rd-year student or below with strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge in Research and Analytical Skills

It's great if you have: 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Law and Legal Studies
  • Knowledge of additional languages
  • Experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
