SUPERVISOR, MATERIALS MANAGEMENT (ASSET RELIABILITY)

The Hawthorne Asset Reliability organization is a crucial part of Falcon and Dragon Production that strives to improve the availability of Production equipment. Within the Asset Reliability organization, the Materials Management team is essential in supporting daily operations within the organization by managing the daily receipt, distribution, and issuance of materials critical to build and maintain Production assets. Our goal is to become a leader in logistics performance with high on time delivery rates. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and exceeding customer expectations by leading continuous improvement to improve all aspects of logistics management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to, approving timecards, scheduling, performance reviews, maintaining stocking levels of consumable supplies, one-on-one mentoring and training of direct reports
  • Implement receiving, logistics and inventory management best practices including but not limited expedited transportation, fabrication kitting, inventory accuracy
  • Drive the team to achieve existing KPI targets and organization objectives for the Asset Reliability Receiving, Logistics and Inventory teams
  • Autonomously conduct regular safety walkthroughs, promptly address safety issues, and promote safe work practices
  • Interface with Shipping, Precision Inspection, Engineering, Purchasing, Maintenance and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material
  • Own and execute stakeholder and customer focused improvement projects to increase the team’s effectiveness
  • Develop KPIs and data driven tools to streamline the organization’s daily effectiveness and increase output
  • Ensure that a clean and organized work area is maintained by making continuous improvements to workspace design
  • Supervise the Receiving, Inventory and Logistics team by assigning tasks, clearing blockers and supporting urgent organization needs
  • Foster an environment where change is embraced and ideas are respected, supported, vetted and ultimately implemented

 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing; OR 4+ years of professional experience materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience defining and implementing best practices for a team
  • Familiar with JHA development and application
  • Demonstrated capability defining and delegating daily tasks to team members
  • Ability to rapidly coordinate between cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • Experience developing with Microsoft SQL and PowerBI
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced /cross-functional environment
  • Experience within an aerospace, aviation, automotive manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing stooping, stretching and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
  • Must be able to work all shifts, extended hours and/or weekends as needed
  • Must be able to operate forklift equipment

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:          

Supervisor, Materials Management: $95,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year          

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
