To reduce the quality issues and increase overall lifetime of batteries we are now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (Batteries) to join our Quality Assurance team. YOUR MISSION AT VOI

As the Supplier Quality Engineer (Batteries) your main focus will be to identify the root cause for battery issues, collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to improve the overall quality and lifetime of batteries, and continue to develop the maintenance and refurbishment processes for our lithium battery packs. This will include:

• Leading root cause analysis and finding solutions for quality issues on existing batteries through exploratory testing, repair data, error code data in collaboration with local warehouses and external suppliers
• Creating standard operating procedures and support local warehouses on diagnosing and resolving battery issues
• Overseeing, auditing and collaborating with external partners to increase the quality of our battery refurbishment programs
• Evaluate strategic options for existing and future battery development and refurbishment programs

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

We are looking for an independent and business minded battery expert with a hands-on and analytical approach, and clear communication skills. In addition to being fluent in English, we believe the right person has: 

• M.Sc in engineering
• Experience of supplier quality assurance or quality engineering focusing on battery packs
• Strong technical understanding of lithium-battery packs, including knowledge of chemistry of cells, the electrical systems, material choices and structures, battery management systems, and assessment for critical failures, reliability, durability and performance
• Experience with performing audits of battery pack manufacturing or refurbishment programs, internally or as an external partner, and understanding of risks relating to battery manufacturing and refurbishment processes
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and experience from independently managing collaborations with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience experience from setting up and overseeing battery refurbishments programs is a merit
• Fluency in Mandarin is a merit
