Analysts dive into the ecommerce world of Wayfair, as part of our EU Cost Management team, directly impacting our ability to balance the cost, quality and speed of our transport and delivery network.  As one of our Data Analysts 'you will support cost savings efforts to strengthen business profitability and increase customer appeal by enabling lower prices.

Your primary focus will be to:

  • Manipulate large data sets to increase understanding of network cost decisions and think outside of the box to identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross functional stakeholders (procurement, performance, planning, operations and finance teams), clearly presenting information and business insights in a digestible format for all levels, enabling considered and validated business decisions outcomes.  
  • Align with partnering teams; ensuring changes are understood, executed & results highlighted in the P&L.
  • Support the team in defining and driving the cost roadmap and strategy.

To be considered you will:

  • Demonstrate proven experience within an analytically bias role; any supply chain, finance, ecommerce knowledge would be a plus.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Maths, Science, Engineering, or similar bias and/or be qualified by experience.
  • Be data driven, someone who shows a strength in handling big data, identifying insights and converting into business decisions.
  • Display a highly inquisitive mind, with a strong will to constantly learn and adapt.
  • Be an excellent communicator, someone who can translate complex data in a clear and concise manner to quickly build strong and trusting stakeholder partnerships. 
  • Have confidence in IT systems and navigating multiple applications simultaneously (including excel & google sheets); although SQL experience is not essential, a foundation knowledge level and a desire to learn is critical for the role.
  • Thrive within an agile, fast paced environment, remaining calm, composed and focused on the priorities without neglecting project timeframes.
