The Global Transportation Planning team is striving  to build the fastest, most reliable transportation network for Wayfair and our customers, whether a product ships through a parcel carrier, or our proprietary Wayfair Delivery Network. As the owners of our weekly planning processes, our Analysts continuously strengthen their subject matter expertise, to leverage  surface opportunities for improvement, driving those opportunities all the way to a launch. 

As a Supply Chain Analyst,  you will be responsible for analysing data, identifying trends, and proposing solutions that improve operational efficiency. Engaging with a broad set of cross functional partners such as forecasting, fulfilment operations, and technology you will be instrumental to bringing initiatives to life.

What You Will Do:

  • Generate forward looking transportation plans to support steady-state weeks and major promotional events, surfacing possible capacity gaps and associated risk mitigations.
  • Reflect on prior week performance through ownership of Weekly Business Review metrics.
  • Leverage data to deep dive metrics, determine root causes, and propose solutions
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize logistics and transportation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to align forecasts with business goals, drive continuous improvement and to bring solutions to live.

 

To be considered you will:

  • Have a  Bachelor's  degree or experience within an analytical field (business, engineering, finance, statistics, or similar).
  • Display strong Excel application knowledge;  SQL, Google BigQuery, Python or similar programming languages would also be  beneficial.
  • Demonstrate effective  analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Have knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau &  PowerBI is advantageous).  
  • Be an excellent communicator,  someone who can engage and collaborate with cross functional  stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Display a continuous improvement approach, with an inner drive to take ownership and support projects through to completion
