The role

At Deliveroo Hop, we’re building a global grocery retailer from the ground up. We launched Deliveroo Hop in September 2021 as Deliveroo’s speedy grocery delivery service and have partnered with some of the world’s leading grocers so you can get the freshest, tastiest food and all of your must-haves right to your front door in as little as 20 minutes. We’re live in the UK, UAE, Hong Kong and Italy and have big ambitions to deliver the best on-demand grocery proposition in the world. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hop team in the nascent stage of our growth. 

Based out of our London HQ office in a hybrid basis and reporting into our Forecasting Manager, you will work closely with our grocery partners to ensure the best levels of service. You will be responsible for tracking fill rate performance as well as inbound receiving and claims processes to hold our partners to their service level agreements. You will also work with the operations, category management and vendor management teams to optimise inventory and provide the best customer proposition. This role will give you the opportunity to work directly with grocery partners as well as a full range of teams within Deliveroo. This role will be based in the UK but will work closely with our teams in Italy, although primarily focused on the Italian market, there will also be opportunities to support other markets.

What you will be doing

  • Owning fill rate and inbound receiving metrics.

  • Work with the forecasting team to optimise forecasts based on supply chain constraints and local market knowledge.

  • Work closely with our grocery partners to maintain excellent fill rates.

  • Work with our marketing teams to ensure forecasts are aligned with marketing activity and promotions.

  • Perform adhoc analysis.

  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure excellent inventory management. 

  • Align with operations on labour planning.

  • Update weekly, monthly and quarterly business reports.

  • Build performance reporting to give the wider business performance insights.

  • Place purchase orders and working closely with finance teams to ensure invoices and correctly matched.

Requirements

  • Experience in a grocery/retail environment is desirable. 

  • Understanding of statistical analysis techniques.

  • An understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management

  • Experience with analytical tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI)

  • Fluent in both English and Italian.

  • SQL (desired not essential).
