Role Description

As a Supply Chain Intern at Dropbox, you will be an integral part of our Platform Strategy and Operations (PSO) team, gaining hands-on experience and insights into our global supply chain processes. In our Virtual First work culture, you'll collaborate closely with various teams to ensure efficient and streamlined operations across our product portfolio.

We will work with you to accommodate your school schedule culminating in a minimum of a 12-week internship.

Responsibilities

Along side your team of dedicated mentors, you’ll work on a high-impact project that helps define the next chapter of Dropbox. 

Here are some of the responsibilities of our team that your project could include:

  • Monitoring Manufacturing Processes: Oversee the motherboard and server manufacturing processes to ensure timely delivery
  • Sub-tier Component Management: Support in managing sub-tier component supplies essential for motherboard and server production
  • Clear-to-Build Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline the clear-to-build (CTB) process, highlighting and addressing potential scheduling risks
  • Addressing Material Shortages: Take a proactive role in rectifying material supply shortages by liaising with suppliers and the extended supply chain team
  • Inventory Strategy Development: Contribute to formulating and executing inventory tactics with our sub-tier suppliers and OxMs (Original x Manufacturers)
  • Supply Shortage Solutions: Actively engage in proposing and implementing solutions to eliminate supply shortages that may impact our build and shipment timelines
Basic Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing an MBA in supply chain, procurement, or a related field graduating in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025
  • Proficient in Excel and/or Tableau
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required
  • Experience or interest in: interfacing with suppliers and driving results with supply base, preparing and presenting supply/demand analysis that highlight supply risks, managing material supply in manufacturing environments, and working with ODM/OEM/CM for system assemblies 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in server manufacturing 
  • Supply Chain or Procurement designations such APICS or ISM - went back for MBA
  • Experience working and partnering with suppliers at a global scale
  • Experience with cost modeling and risk management
  • Proficient in Excel and/or Tableau

The expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) rate for the role is $9,500 a month subject to change.
