The Role

As the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for managing and evolving our supply chain operations and final mile functions. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will lead, manage and develop a critical business function of HelloFresh through a continuing period of high growth.  In this role,  you will be responsible for the strategic development of the team and have overall accountability for team KPIs. The key processes under your area of responsibility are: supply planning, ordering, delivery troubleshooting, contribution to quality management, waste management, final mile delivery planning and supplier relationship management. To achieve your objectives, you will closely collaborate with core departments within the business, including Product, Food Safety & Quality (FSQA), Finance and Production. You will steer the team towards the common goal of delivering our boxes with as few errors and as little food waste as possible, while continuously looking to improve our cost structure.

What you’ll do
  • Inspire, lead and coach our growing Supply Chain Operations team to deliver results and achieve their potential
  • Continuously improve our upstream Supply Chain & Logistics KPIs (e.g. customer experience, customer complaints, on time deliveries, food waste, cost and supplier performance), and prioritize initiatives accordingly 
  • Champion change and drive major transformational programmes to deliver cost efficiency, operational excellence and development
  • Independently analyze internal data to generate ideas, support alternative solutions and provide clear recommendations
  • Set and track KPIs, balancing day-to-day operations with long term strategic objectives. Define new measures and reporting methods to promote data-driven decision making. 
  • Create a positive, engaging and dynamic working environment

What you’ll bring…

  • 5+ years of work experience in supply chain and/or logistics operations environment, preferably with management experience
  • Strong people and stakeholder management skills - great with people and motivated to lead a young and dynamic  team
  • Resilience and ability to operate well under pressure
  • Confident decision making skills and ability to challenge the status-quo with new ideas
  • A self-starter, with a proactive attitude, and you embrace change 
  • A strong analytical skillset and a data-driven mentality
  • Ability to lead and influence business partners, team members and other stakeholders, present ideas effectively, and facilitate discussion with multiple inputs.
  • You think on your feet and find quick and efficient solutions to resolve problems with minimal impact to internal and external stakeholders
  • You bring exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative work style with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior leaders and stakeholders in an international environment
