Roll* Overview:

The System Analyst-IT SOX Compliance at Toast is a blended role of Financial System Administration and IT SOX compliance, falling under the 1st Line of Defense (1LOD). This is a highly cross-functional role, ensuring the successful implementation, maintenance, and compliance of Enterprise system initiatives, with careful consideration of the current IT SOX framework. This role plays a critical part in supporting the audit cycle by providing PBC delivery and addressing inquiries to support control objectives. 

As a System Analyst-IT SOX Compliance you will:

  • Assist in day-to-day execution of administrative duties related to Financial systems
  • Work as an individual contributor in high paced SCRUM teams within Toast to provide functional and development services for strategic initiatives
  • Partnering with stakeholders, across numerous business facets of the Toast, to better understand their business processes and systems needs
  • Participate in IT project implementations to ensure that SOX compliance requirements are built into system designs and operational processes from the outset
  • Survey and diagnose Systems issues, resolve, and advise about systems innovations to improve stability, flexibility and security. 
  • Participate in the project development life cycle: implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance
  • Ensure timely collection of PBCs (Prepared by Client) and audit evidence required by external and internal auditors
  • Employ critical thinking to solve problems using technological solutions, and analyze both business and technical demands from a company perspective

Do you have the right ingredients?

  • 2-3 years working in a Financial Systems environment
  • 2+ years of working in publicly traded company
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Attention to detail and process adherence
  • Experience collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders to drive deliverables
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience

Bonus ingredients (a pinch of salt):

  • Experience with NetSuite or a comparative ERP is preferred
  • Working knowledge of IT SOX principles and/or IT Controls (ITGCs)
  • Relevant professional certifications
